This is the final copy of my journalism piece for the induction. Here, I've added photos as well as the text. I have also changed the background and text colour to make it more appealing to my target audience.
The layout of your article looks very professional, as the way you have presented makes it look like a professional article and you have also included a drop cap which makes it look very sophisticated. The use of the colour engages audience as it is bright and the white font compliments the blue background for the text. Something you could improve on would be the text, maybe you could make it bigger and add some more pictures to interest a more wider audience, as all the writing could put some readers off.
I agree with Haleena's comment- great layout and you've developed some good Desk Top Publishing skills, using columns, appropriate colour scheme and headers. The text is big enough- possibly too big! You could add page numbers and a logo. The journalism has evidence of thorough research, with some nice facts and figures, although you could have been clearer that some of these originated from the USA. Ensure you paraphrase and use your own words. Well justified opinions at the end. A great start overall! Vanessa
